What is a Life Coach?

What is a Life Coach ?

A coach is not a psychologist, therapist, or medical profession.
Quite the opposite, a coach is a mentor to help guide you in the right direction.
Some people have the misconception that coaches help people with problems such as suicide, drug addiction, or marital problems. This is not the case.
Coaches are NOT counselors.

Have you ever had to make a decision about something but did not know who to ask for help?
Sure you have friends, family members, or co-workers to ask but maybe you are concerned that they either did not have experience with your situation or could not give you an honest opinion because they do not want to offend you.

This is where I can help.  A coach is there to help you and guide you in the right direction in your decision making process because we have prior experience dealing with similar issues and are able to give you a fair and honest opinion about your actions and helping you achieve your desired results.

What are the "Qualities" Of A Good Coach

A life coach is someone who LISTENS.
As a coach my job is to listen to my clients. I mean really listen! Often when people have problems, issues, questions or concerns they just need someone to listen to them. Unfortunately, good listeners are hard to find. Many people are more interested in talking about their own problems than listening to someone else’s issues.

A coach gives SUPPORT.
Many people need someone to reach out for support during tough times. Everyone, including successful people need someone else to lean on when the times get tough.

A life coach CHALLENGES you.
Once reaching your goals, you need someone to push you to set future goals. A coach helps you both identify goals, reach them and go beyond your potential.
Why do you need a coach if you already have experience in your field?
The short answer is – to help you get better.
For example, look at some of the greatest sports players in the world and you will find that many of them have a Life coach.  Why?  Because a coach helps them to constantly improve.
*Remember, there’s always room for improvement, not matter how good you are at something.

A coach is a MOTIVATOR.
Getting clients motivated is challenging. Keep them motivated is even tougher. As a coach I will be responsible for finding creative ways to do this. Your job is just to be open, trust the process and enjoy the journey as you create your vision and live your life!

A life coach ASKS QUESTIONS.
I’ve found that many people don’t like to talk aloud about their goals. Many are afraid that others will laugh at their goals. Your goals are the blueprint to creating and living the life you dream of! Telling everyone holds you accountable.

Now it's time to Take Action

I encourage you to take action.Don’t let the fear of failure hold you back from fulfilling your dream.
Don't wait another minute worrying about the things that could go wrong.
Together we will create a plan to bring your VISION to reality!
You can do it. I know you can!
